Employee Spotlight Mike Ufford. We're back with our Spotlight Interview Series where we are asking our employees about their role at MCDC and to keep you informed on what's happening.
We hosted our 1st Annual Upper Peninsula Golf Outing at the beautiful Greywalls Course at Marquette Golf Club which was our way of thanking our lending partners as they help continue our vision of "Making dreams come true, one small business at a time".
Michigan Certified Development Corporation (MCDC) would like to thank the golfers at our Annual Lender Appreciation Golf Outing for your generous donations to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
Since 2000, the MCDC Golf Outing has been one of the ways we say Thank You to lenders that partner with us in assisting small businesses with financing. When you attend our outing you won't walk away empty handed; everyone receives a gift. Bring us a project and maybe next year you can join in on the fun!
With the busy summer ahead of us here at MCDC, the employees are continuing on with the ultimate goal to raise money for charities in need.
Michigan Certified Development Corporation Welcomes new 504 Funding Team We are pleased to announce a reorganization of departments and additions to staff. As part of a continuous effort to provide the best funding and servicing experiences for our lending partners and borrowers, we have combined our Closing and Servicing Departments. The result of these efforts is the creation of the MCDC 504 Funding Team.
We are continuing our Spotlight Interview Series where we ask our employees about their role at MCDC, what makes them want to come to work each day, and how they spend their free time. This month we are introducing Underwriter Duane Hummel who has been with MCDC since January 2018. Duane is a key part of the underwriting team who are the first ones our Loan Officers talk to before submitting a deal.
Our employees are what truly make MCDC a unique place to work. We have some wonderful people with diverse backgrounds and different personalities who have a real dedication for what they do. So that you can get to know us, today we're kicking off a Spotlight Interview Series where we ask our employees about their role at MCDC, what makes them want to come to work each day, and how they spend their free time. First up we are introducing, Ana "Zoe" Luther who is one of the SBA 7(a) Associates for the Lender Service Provider Department. Zoe assists Lenders with the preparation, packaging and servicing of SBA 7(a) loans. To make sure everything is in accordance with SBA requirements, she reviews and analyzes all the packages for the department before sending to the lenders so they can correspond with the customers. With Zoe's perfectionist personality, not a package goes out without her personal-inspection stamp on it.
The MCDC is hosting several mixers this month centered around the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Mixers will be held in Ann Arbor, Traverse City, Marquette and East Lansing. All of the mixers are on March 21st. Jack Johnson will be hosting the mixer in Ann Arbor at Blue Tractor from 1-6pm. John Galbraith will be hosting the mixer in Traverse City at Blue Tractor from 1-6pm.
